Change a tire

I just realized that my summer deadline passed. Sad to say, I completely forgot about this goal. Thanks to a recent cheer, its back on my radar. So hopefully once the weather warms up I can get this done!

I would like to know that, if such a thing ever happened, that I would be able to help myself, without having to call AAA, a friend, my dad, etc. I think the sense of mastery over something new, different, difficult, and unappealing is something necessary for me to do. I stay comfortably in safe, familiar, and easy too often.

I want to be able to help myself should the time ever come. I’ll set my deadline for this as the end of summer!

How these things tend to happen in the rain or on cold days! Plus it always makes me thing of my Dad. :-)

The second to last time my mom was pregnant we got caught in a snowstorm in the midwest with a flat and I got out and figured this out very quickly. I am glad the jack didn’t slip now that I have learned how to use one properly!

So much better than waiting for some guy to do it! I’ve done it several times actually. Its not as hard as they make it seem. just a kick and put your back into it. Theres nothing that makes you feel better than being self reliant.

If you have to, it’s important… but not something I would choose to do.
