    Huh. 8 months ago

After I gave up it just sort of happened. Best friend instigated a Saturday night ritual at this place between our homes. The bartenders don’t know my name yet, but they recognize me at least.

    Nah. 12 months ago

I have better things to do. I’d still be pleased if this should happen someday, but I need room on the list for more important matters.

The duplex I’m moving into soon is right down the street from one of my favorite bars, and one of the people who works there already sort of knows me, so in no time at all, I’ll be a regular there. :) Yay.

I feel bad now that I haven’t been in a few weeks. (Trying to get healthy and not drink so much!)

However, we’ve been going there for years and know just about everyone there…it’s a great place.

    ButtonGirl27 is getting there!

    Marsh Point 19 months ago

In the place I live it’s hard not to be. It’s a small town and I work in hospitality. You know everyone that works in all the restuarants and bars. Of course, there are a few places I frequent…Marsh Point being one of them.

Turned that much into my local I now do the odd bit of freelance design for the management and also run my own rock night there.

For a girl to have found a local in Sunderland where she can go on her own, have a pint and not get hassled is pretty good going. I know if I’m ever getting shit from anyone it’ll be dealt with too so I feel rather safe there also. Plus the landlord said that if there’s ever a zombie invasion we can use it in the same way as the Winchester in Shaun of the Dead. :D

It was MY bar. I even got to babysit the owners son when he was a year old! Had a tab that could go on for weeks. Could change the channel on the projector and even change the music! It was wonderful the feeling of comfort I was truly a regular. But now i’m looking to venture out more and explore new places :)

i've moved out of the city.. 2 years ago

& in my home towns, everyones a regular at the bar, because well lets face it, the bar man’s your next-door neighbour, and tonights music is the kid you sat next to in science class, and.. there is only one bar.

this goal is officially on hold until i move back into the big world at the start of uni next year:)

That was Trevor’s and my hang out. I moved to a different area so it isn’t as convenient. That and all the bartenders that gave me free drinks left. I really liked that place though. There aren’t many bars I feel that way about. I have yet to find a new bar worthy of me becoming a regular at.

This is my favorite bar. 2 years ago

But it costs $20 to get in and the drinks are expensive. :(
