A loud OW! when I was flossing her teeth for her. (She’s never as thorough as I am.) Probably all that candy Grandma gives you, I said. And then I think I saw it wiggle a little bit! I said, Oh my goodness, you’re going to lose your first tooth! You’re such a big girl! Nineteen more to go, she said, and I’ll be a grown-up.

...was it that the tooth has to go UNDER the pillow? What would be wrong with beside the pillow or even on the side table? Or better yet, how about in another room entirely? sigh
