I sweep and mopped the floor of my bedroom. It was frighting. The dust bunnies from under my bed had fangs!! Next stop the livingroom!

I’ve moved on to the bedroom. It’s mostly clothes and papers that need to be either read or shredded. The kitchen will be the big challenge.
I finally got the clutter cleaned out and things are looking so much better! Now I just have to find a way to get these darn carpets clean. They need more than a simple vacuum, I wonder where is the best place to rent a carpet program.
(and I haven’t been dry heaving from my recently caught plague/swine flu…) ... I’ve been trying to declutter and clean! He’s moving in here Friday through Monday! Gack! Monday he’ll LIVE here!
I really want to move into the other apartment. The bigger apartment. The one with two bedrooms and two closets. Only a month and a half left here. Let the count down began! And surely, it will – and I’ll realize I’ll only have a week left to pack.
I’m really ‘ranty’ today.But I’ve:
- Wood polished the back table, the computer table, the map frame, and the vanity.
- Scrubbed the tub twice after…
- Pouring damn near 80 oz of Draino down it! >:|
- Went through my fabric collection. I’m giving away half.
- Went through my clothes. Have a give away bag going for that too.
- Threw away some moldy-oldy bread and other fridge disasters.
- Tidied stuff. ha
- Got my virus software working on my computer again. Woohoo!
- Vacccccuuuuumed under my bed.
- Washed the bathroom mirror
- Dusted a bit.
and I can’t think of anything else. It’s one in the morning and I took some midol for a doozy of a headache. I’ve been getting really nauseous at night – every night, headaches or the puke feeling. I told my mom about my night-sickness while I was on the phone with her earlier, and she freaked out thinking I was pregnant. Nice. I’M NOT. But I would really like the night-sickness to go away. What the crap is up with this?!
Tomorrow is my last Cutie-on-Taylor-free day. I’m going to:- Go to class. (this is a must.)
- Go to Jewel. I’m making lamb burgers Friday night (!!)(you know its love if I’m cooking baby-lambs for him…) And cookies. (for me, to keep me from sobbing while I’m cooking the lamb)
- Clean the toilet
- Vaccuuuummm the rest of the apartment
- Do the laundry.
- Mop
- Wipe down the kitchen counters/stove
- Sign up for the crocheting class
- Sign up for the Fall Semester – I need two more classes!
and! - read two books and create an outline for my final on Friday. (ha!)
Let’s see how much I can get done. Ready, set, go!
I have been away from my apartment for more than a month… here is hoping I can start cleaning when I go back later this week.
My carpets are the worst problem, any ideas on how to clean a carpet (light brown, only a few light stains) and are grocery store cleaner rentals worth it?

Interesting, but what is the difference between quick-vacuuming and vacuuming one’s floors? Also, I have NEVER flipped my mattress! Do they mean rotate it, or actually turn it so the bottom side is on top?

I’m devoting this weekend to spring cleaning. I think that getting my apartment pretty and clean will make EVERYTHING easier – including several of my other goals…. Currently, my apartment is kind of weighing on my mind – I always wish it was a little more presentable. So I’m just going to jump in head first and get it all done as fast as possible. Then, I will deal with decorating details and developing routines to keep it up.
By the way, I started looking at various resources to help me out, but it seems they all point to 3 simple steps: purge, organize, clean. purge, organize, clean…. Sure, there are other little tips which might be useful, but for now I’m just going to keep it simple, structured and sensible.
i started cleaning my apartment yesterday. i mean, REALLY cleaning. i’m almost done. all i have to do is put clothes away! yay!
