I can’t find anything. My house is a wreck. My hubby is irked. The kids are oblivious, but it makes me feel like a jerk and failure for not keeping a well-organized house. Maybe some accountability will help?

How I did it: I started with one room at a time. I am not a pack-rat. I have no problem throwing things out!. If I haven't used or wore something in over a year it gets thrown out or given to charity. Paperwork and documents can be scanned. That's on my goal list. For now, anything that needs to be scanned is in a bin next to the printer. Everthing else is trash or charity. Read how I did it…

How I did it: Hired a professional organizer to get started. Once you get started, it's easy to keep going... the momentum, and how great it feels, keeps you going. Moving long distance and being able to take only what was most valuable helped, too. Read how I did it…

Problem 1- cardboard boxes
I’m putting them out for recycling! I guess by going my shopping early, I’m ending up with extra packaging that wouldn’t have turned up until around December/January.
Bye bye boxes!
I need to de-clutter my house really bad. I moved into this house over a year ago and moved all of my clutter with me.Since I retired 2 weeks ago, I have finished 1 room!
From moving recently I realized just how much stuff I had-way too much, lol. Unfortunately a lot of things I own are scrapbook stuff which I find is hard to get rid of it. I got a friend into scrapbooking and been giving her some things, as well as I quit buying for a long time now. I plan on having a garage sale and everything will be free at the last hour cause I don’t want it. It will all go somewhere!
I think that physical clutter represents mental clutter. I think it becomes a lifestyle. My goal is to get rid of the clutter in my home, my car, and my computer, all to help me get rid of the clutter that I allow to plague my mind as well.

Got rid of clutter in bathroom, threw out, donated and organized. Good feeling, I can find everything now.
I’m starting to clean up, removed the white set of shelves from the bedroom and put them in the computer room where they belong. Shoved all of Boyfriend’s computer stuff into the white drawers for him to sort out later. dragged out most of the junk all over the floor and its sitting in the computer room as well.
I do not look forward to decluttering the computer room.
today I:
*put clean sheets on the bed and made it.
*hand-washed two dresses.
*took junk out of room to be sorted later.
as soon as a clean off the night stand and finish all of the hand wash / dry-clean it will be completly clean. Then I can move on to other rooms.
I also signed up for FlyLady as a system for getting things cleaner.
With my bathroom counter and then my closet….today I’m doing my desk and filing cabinet….I can think clearer already!
all with great imaginative intentions of putting them to unique and purposful use…sometimes less is more.
