I don’t know that I became a Rosicrucian but I certainly didn’t abandon this goal. (You’re not supposed to say ‘I am a rosicrucian’ so much as you are supposed to say ‘I am a student of rosicrucian philosophies.’ But who would know that except someone commonly called a rosicrucian?) 5 years ago
Rolled back. I don’t know that I can call this done yet.
And I certainly can’t tell anyone if it was worth it.
So far, so good. 5 years ago
So, I looked at the application again. Rates have gone up since I last looked, but I’m still intrigued. Rates will go up again after June. I am always worried to part with money. 5 years ago
I was told that Klein died from complications resulting from his attempt at flight. Fortunately, this is not true. Perhaps it is safe to become a Rosicrucian. Here’s some classic Klein, if you are interested. I admire his sense of humor. Lewis Black is right—if you lose your sense of humor, the terrorists have won. I think perhaps we should redefine “terrorist” as one who has lost any sense of humor or appreciation of the absurd. 6 years ago
A few years ago I went to an introductory meeting with the Rosicrucians. I am not certain that I see eye-to-eye with them on all points philosophically, but I found their literature intriguing. I would say the same holds with Freemasonry, which I have found to be a very rewarding experience. The two societies seem similar, though differently oriented. If one imagined George Washington as the avatar of Freemasonry, Yves Klein would serve as the exemplar of Rosicrucianism. Like myself, Klein was interested in self-control and self-presentation. Plus, the Rosicrucians claim to teach invisibility. Which is either cool, or hilarious. 6 years ago
