How to get on the honor roll by ataralas

"If you work hard, try and do a lot of APs, it's possible."

How I did it: I took honors classes and one AP. My school's highest honor roll is for those above 4.25, and since AP classes are weighted on a 6.0 scale and honors on a 5.0 it honestly isn't that hard. Right now my GPA is around a 4.9.
I made sure to do all my homework and study for all the tests. There were a few classes that I was good at, so I let them slide in order to work harder on my other classes and get a good grade.
In the second quarter of the year I slipped up in math and got a D. Nevertheless, because I worked hard in the rest of my classes, I managed to pull myself out of my slump.

Lessons & tips: 1) Do your homework.
2) Take classes that are weighted.
3) Never give up, even if you flunk a class. If you work hard, it's still possible.
4) Concentrate on hard classes and let easy classes slide a little.

    Getting on the honor roll is going to be especially hard for me, considering my GPA at the end of last year could have been a lot better, but I’m just going to have to work hard to compensate. I’ll need a 3.5 to make any Honor Roll at all. I can do well in class and on tests and quizzes, I’ll just need to study, take notes and do work outside school a lot more.

    ...And it can’t be that hard. I’m in all honors classes, except for theology and AP Human Geography. All I’ll need is mostly As and a few Bs. But I have to do all my homework, pay attention in class, answer the questions I know how to answer, and so on. No more mid-year slip-ups. It’ll be easy.
