someone just uploaded a picture of me from this weekend.
I went out thinking I looked hot, but it that photo I just looked fat. which is crazy, because I know I’m not.
but ugh! if that’s not an incentive to get in the pool tomorrow, I really don’t know what is!

one pair of work pants are almost good again.
I can get them on and do them up… I still need to lose another centimeter or two around my middle, but progress, even in baby steps, is a good thing.
not in the favourite jeans yet, but back in the 2nd favourites and almost back in the black non-jeans

So, it’s been 5 months since I arrived in Japan, and the supposedly ‘healthy’ food and lack of exercise contributing to me jumping up about 1 1/2 pants sizes.
In Japan, pants with my leg length, let alone waist size, are difficult (and expensive) to locate.
So fitting back into my original clothes is high on my list.
for about 6 weeks now I’ve been sweating it out at the gym 3-4 x a week and trying to stay under a 1500calorie a day diet made up mainly of salads, cereals, protein (eggs, fish, boiled chicken) and fresh fruit, although I still indulge in the occasional cookie.
so far, unfortunately no significant difference in pant size, but I’ll not give up yet, and keep sweating it out, even if just to improve my flexibility and endurance.
With my fuji climb scheduled for 3 weeks away, I’m going to need all the preparation I can get.
wish me luck on both accounts
