i’ve done it and i know i’ll keep on keepin’ on. this may seem like a silly goal to some, but when i do my hair i feel like i should dress better (which is another goal) and then i don’t walk around the whole day feeling like a bum and being uncomfortable in my own skin. i have also decided that i need a new style. i’m working on it… i thinking something a little mariskay hargitayesque.
i’m considering this an accomplished goal!!

doing my hair
well, i just made this my goal and i did do it today. i didn’t do anything to it after i got out of the shower yesterday and then i went to the store and caught a glance of myself in the mirror and wanted to run and hide. i was ashamed for looking so sloppy. i agree that the trick is to getting regular haircuts, even if you aren’t going to keep the same style. also, because i am so busy in the morning with my daughter i find that it is much easier to always get my shower at night and work with dry hair in the morning rather than having to worry about drying it and doing it all at the same time. my hair is so dang thick it takes forever to dry with a hairdryer and i don’t have a/c so if i use the hairdryer i sweat to death. anyway, i am going to keep it up!!! i felt much better about myself out in public today!

I have made an effort recently – I used to just throw wet hair up in a bun, but I have been drying with a round brush lately. The trick is to dry it in sections i think. My hair is really think, and this helps. I still usually wear it in a ponytail, but at least it isn’t wet when I go to work. So it’s a start.

Ok, I’ve kept this up for about half the year now. The secret is getting regular haircuts. I schedule one every 6 weeks so that my hair won’t turn into a frizz ball.
Now when I wear my hair in a ponytail, it’s cuz I choose to not because I had no time to actually try and style it. Of course I still choose to do this often…it’s just so convenient sometimes.

I just got a new haircut. It’s great! It’s very low maintenance, so I look like I did my hair without really doing much of anything.
I also bought a flat iron for those super special occasions when I want my hair all straight and sleek.

I just got a haircut in what should be a very manageable style. However, the air conditioning is out in our building and it is sooo hot. I’m wearing my hair in a ponytail like usual. What’s the point of actually fixing my hair in the morning if it ends up in a rubber band every day?
