be able to shuffle cards

I’ve got one trick in m repetoire and i’ll leave it up as doing it again so its an ongoing thing.

Yay I can do an actual shuffeling trick, was taught it by my friend’s flatmate while we played poker out on the street with copper coins, and Brazil had just won a football match. Aaw.

Impressed people whilst playing poker (not at actual playing of the poker as I suck at that and my mind was fantastically boggled) but at my wonderous shuffeling skills, didn’t look so cool though when I said I’d thought of being croupier(?) before as (a) I couldn’t remember what the person was called at the time (b) I couldn’t play poker and had no knowledge of it and© I could only do one shuffeling trick.

I was taught how to shuffle cards when I was very very young by my mother and my grandmother.

Card playing (not poker and the like, but things like Canasta and Bridge) were taught to me when I was very young, so of course I was also taught how to shuffle.

While I didn’t get it at first (like blowing your first bubblegum bubble, or whistling for the first time), I did finally catch on to the trick of shuffling and have been able to do it fairly well since I was a child.

I never learned how to do any of the trick shuffles that you see card sharks do, and that would be awesome to learn.

I’ve found a load of poker sites that tell you how to shuffle cards properly, so far I’ve master the table rifle and kinda the normal within hands rifle. Lots of fun. But gawd these sites have complicated explinations, they seem to have forgotten basic direction essentials such as ‘left’ and ‘right’ I mean there are four sides to a pack of cards, two small, two large -differentiate between them PLEASE!

Would love to just fluss fluss and have the cards all elegantly sorted- might also help if I actually knew some good card games, poker or something ;)
