go see an opera

My friend T. had an extra ticket and invited me to go. I’d never been to an opera before. Some parts of it were a bit slow. I would go see one again, all in all it was fun!

Was a very good time. Saw the opera in the Fox Theatre.

Maybe one day. I don’t even like going to see a movie by myself – I would need to talk about it with someone who was just there. This is very unlikely to happen.

We bought cheap seats under the ceiling for a couple of seasons when we were young and poor. The first opera I saw was Turandot. It was awesome.

It was in Berlin, Cosi Fan Tutte, and they messed it up by setting it in the hippie 60s, so the set and the costumes were the tackiest I’d ever seen. But it was still worth it; the opera house was beautiful and the music was lovely.

I don’t particularly care for opera, but I think it’s worth seeing an opera at least once.
