Steph4952 its cold
but its cool there is another summer coming up.. after winter.. fuck its getting cold im wearing jeans and one of those thick dressing gowns.. yep thats how cold it is..
How I did it: We decided to take the girls camping close to our home...just 5 minutes down at a river campground. We have an 18 month old, so I thought it would be a good trial run. Got all camping equip together and headed out. Spent most of the afternoon in the river and then roasted hot dogs and had smores. It really felt like camping. Girls loved playing in the tent. At 10 p.m. (bedtime is 7pm) when baby wouldn't go to sleep, I packed her in the car and we slept at home. Met family back at campground for breakfast and more fun. That wasn't cheating, was it? It felt like camping.
Lessons & tips: Do not try to fit 4 people in a 2 person tent. We will be upgrading for next year.

Haven’t gone camping in a couple of years. Have all he gear and I even have a favorite spot, but my boyfriend works every single day and his family lives out of town. So, we have pick out which vacation days go to see family and which we want to spend together. Walked through caves and went skydiving last summer. Maybe white water rafting and camping this summer.
for the first time. i can’t wait to go again! i hope to go regularly throughout the years. it was a great experience.
Josh ...and life just rolls on like a river.
Went camping at Rough River Lake (I know, I know…) in Kentucky. It was a lot of fun, and it’s really pretty there. We stayed in my parents RV and took the boat out on the lake and did some water skiing and tubing and the such. Nothing really big or exciting happened, but it was so nice to spend a week just relaxing… and doing nothing! :) Plus I got to cook on an actual campfire most nights… which is a big plus for me.

For a week long camping trip. Should be a lot of fun. We are going to camp next to a lake. It’s not primitive, there will be a shower/bath house and all that, but I think it still counts. Hopefully I’ll get in some good hiking and fishing. :)

I did the Duke of Edinburgh Award twice while at school which involve walking the hills of Scotland. If only I could remember the route we did as it was spectacular! Would love to give it a go again and not necessarily camping at campsites, I mean on hills amongst the sheep!

Had a great time camping with the family. Yesterday was hot. Fortunately there was a briskly cool swimming hole. The gorge trail was beautiful. The bugs weren’t too terrible. And the nights were comfortable. It rained when we arrived and just as we were tearing down camp to leave. It wouldn’t be camping without rain!

We have another short trip planned for August.

camping this weekend. All 14 of us! The weather is looking good, so just have to battle the bugs. Found out that there is an off-leash doggie park and dog swimming area near-by. Should be fun!
Jenny and I went. We had a great time, and were within 15 minutes of our house at a nice state park. Good times!
