Each time I get rid of something I realize I have one less thing to worry about. Besides, if you believe in karma, you can think of it as trading in for something more useful down the road!
But now I want to do it again.
I’ve started with my old computer hardware (the stuff I kept that still works or has some value). Now I need to go through my old CD’s I don’t listen to (or have bought again via the iTMS), VHS tapes (I don’t have a VCR anymore) and other things (like my books, which will be hard to part with).
This goal kind of goes along with Plan B©.
I have read a few of the entries and noticed that people do one little task at a time. I think that is where my problem lies. I try to tackle it all in the same day, usually losing momentum after a few straight hours. I think that I am going to take one small thing- say a desk drawer- and complete that first. I might even feel more motivated since I will feel good about completing something entirely that I set out to do.
