How to get a newer car
How I did it: It didn't take a lot of effort. I have great credit, so as soon as I had my job offer for the military confirmed, it was no problem getting a car loan. Best advice I can give is keep a steady job, and keep good credit. Don't make late payments, don't apply for too many credit cards, and always pay off the full balance at the end of the month. Good credit = newer car... so long as you have a steady job and can afford what you are getting the loan for.

Yep…cleaned out my whole car. Took out trash, vac’d it out, wiped down the interior and all. Might be able to make it worth selling now after we replace the back two tires and fix the CD player and passenger side window.
So…I finally decided to look around at cars to buy. There was one for sale for $4,000 in front of the bank I go to. It had been there for months…and the second I decide to actually take interest in it, it’s gone. I’m lovin’ it.
My ‘95 Ford Explorer is barely making it these days what with the alternator going out, windows hardly rolling down, interior falling apart piece by piece. Not to mention how expensive gas is. I need to find a small, somewhat fuel-efficient car. I’m not used to small vehicles…but I’ll make do if I can save a bit more money.
i have a 95 volvo because the 90 honda up and shit the bed a month ago. so far, this is the newest and nicest car i have ever owned. and it is a volvo, so we’ll probably have this damn thing forever.
so far, i’ve had a 1980 volvo, a 1993 chevy cavalier, and a 1990 honda accord. let’s go for a nice one this time, eh?
