xturnitup is trying/going to be the person i want to be :) -- just watch me.
Out of all the things I want to do, this one will DEFINATLY be the hardest! I was so scared last time because they had to do a root canel, that I was shaking.
I’m 15, and some people think I’m crazy that I’m scared.

I too am scared; pregnant and haven’t been to the dentist in 10 years!!!! They may not even want me there…there is some plaque on my lower teeth and I have been reading about all the risks and now I want to go have a cleaning
I’m scared of the scrapers and diggers and I cannot be sedated due to the pregnancy. I don’t know if I should just wait until the baby comes but I wanted to have it done before that….

Breaking a tooth finally brought me to going back to the dentist… and in doing so, tears streaming down my face, I found a great environment.
Oddly enough, I actually was sorted into an apartment nearly next door to the same dentist office the next year, and now I try to go back regularly…
Now if only I wasn’t so scared of dentist BILLS!! $$ eep!

Jason We never really grow up, we only learn how to act in public
I brought my ipod to the dentist with some relaxing chillout music. I was having major dental work done that took 4 hours to complete and the ipod really saved my ass on that one. A couple of times, I enarly drifted off to sleep.

I recently had a pleasant experience at the dentist. He had me wear a pair of i-glasses (video glasses) while performing his cavity filling procedures. The glasses were lightweight and comfortable, plus the picture and sound were really clear. Watching a movie while my dentist worked on my teeth made a usually unpleasant situation much more bearable. Plus it allowed him to more fully concentrate on doing his work. It was like sitting in a movie theater about 15 rows back! I actually enjoyed going to the dentist! Are other doctors using these? They ought to be.
