How to join Toastmasters
It made me
 "Joining Toastmasters was an easy process to follow - everyone in the group is very friendly and helpful."
How I did it: I attended my first Toastmasters meeting in December right before the holidays. I liked it so much, I decided I would join at the first meeting in January. Once I filled out the application, the treasurer handled the rest. I should be receiving my books and materials in the mail soon. Resources: http://www.toastmasters.org

Join Toastmasters

I used to belong and left when life got hectic. I need to get back and practice giving presentations. I can’t get strong at this if I’m in a vacuum. I also need to video tape my presentations.

I went to the toastmasters site and found two chapters within a half hour of me. One meets Tuesdays and that is no good for my time with the kids. The other meets Thursdays which is sort of better.
I’ll be checking it out.

I just found out that my law school softball team is going to be playing on Mondays this year. I think that is going to put a little bit of a delay in to starting at the nearest Toastmasters.

I am already pretty good at public speaking, but there is always room for improvement. There is a chapter that meets just down the street from my house on Monday nights. I am going to try to start attending soon. I figure it will be fun and useful.

Giving up for the moment

Hanging on to this goal in the “give up” section because it hasn’t been on the radar for a while, but it’s still something that I want to remember that I’ve been interested in for a while.
I think I’m going to change my rules for giving up to “might be interested in later, but not a priority right now” It used to be things that had an entry / cheer had to go to Give up instead of just deleted. I now have things on list that I was once interested in for a short period of time but will never be interested in again.
