I really don’t help myself with this! I keep buying more and more books, my ‘only buy books which are £1 or less’ goal doesn’t help too much either, as there are actually quite a few books for this price in places like Asda and PoundLand, and I think I’m addicted!! I’ve also been swapping books on readitswapit.co.uk (and am a super swapper :D) so that’s been making my list longer too!

I’ve still been updating my list on listsofbests and am about 7% done apparently!

There are two or three books which aren’t on this list yet as I’ve forgotten what they’re called and they aren’t on my Bookrabbit account but I will add them as soon as I get back to Portsmouth!

I keep buying new books or swapping books so my reading list is just getting bigger and bigger! I wanted to buy a couple of books yesterday but could only afford one :( so I bought a book of 25 short Vampire Love stories

So many books!

Thanks to book swapping I’ve got lots of books I still have to read, and every time I finish one I end up getting about three more! And then I’m still buying more books before reading the ones I have. I would say that I wouldn’t buy anymore books until I’ve finished all mine but I appear to have an unlimited supply of books and I can’t help but buy books on special offer :P

liberal arts

My house says to me, “Do not leave me, for here dwells your past.”
And the road says to me, “Come and follow me, for I am your future.”
And I say to both my house and the road, “I have no past, nor have I a future.” If I stay here, there is a going in my staying; and if I go there is a staying in my going. Only love and death change all things.”
Our mind is a sponge; our heart is a stream. Is it not strange that most of us choose sucking rather than running?
(Extracted from Sand And Foam By Kahlil Gibran)
Recently discovered amongst my parent’s collection of old-world literature under a blanket of dust, which I profoundly enjoyed reading and found surprisingly enlightening. Liberal arts is cool!!!

I have 3 rows of books all lined up ready for battle. For some strange reason I’m having reader’s block or something, making me unable to summon them forward. They range from psychology/philosophy to horror/sci-fi short stories – subjects of which I find myself quite fond of.

I’ve always loved being around books. Since moving to the States, I collected quite a library. Some books I’ve read several times, some once, some only partly, and some not at all. I’m creating a life with oodles of time to read.

I enjoy buying books and then put them on my own bookshelf. However, I usually read the books which were borrowed from the library. All the books on the bookshelf are seldom been opened. That’s really strange and wasting money. Then, I figure out the reason why I can’t finish reading the books. It is because I keep telling myself that I don’t have enough time.
I want to finish the books on my bookshelf. To achieve this important goal I should accomplish the mission, read one book a month.
