Okay… I have been inspired. I just read a post from someone who wants to be able to do the SPLITS. I was able to do the splits when I was in high school gymnastics (eons ago), but lost the flexibility as I got older and quit stretching intensely. I WANT to be able to do this again! There is nothing like the feeling that a stretch from doing the splits gives you.

i used to be able to do left leg and right leg comfortably. i took up dance again a couple years ago and only got into it seriously about a year ago. now i can do my right leg and my left if i streatch a lot lol but ive never been able to do sideways splits lol!
My right split came back pretty easily. It wasn’t ever really completely gone anyway. My left is there, but I need to be fairly warm to do it. Bring on the center…This is the one I’ve always struggled with. The last time I had it, I think I was 12.
and I started taking dance classes again (after a longggg break), so hopefully I’ll be back in no time. SO CLOSE!
I am a LONG way from doing the splits, but I can get my legs behind my neck again and I’m not sure quite how I managed to achieve this since I wasn’t actively working towards it. At least I am getting more felxible somehow.
I used to be able to do this pretty well as a child, but I can’t do it very well now. I want to be able to do it as well as I could when I was a child, only more comfortably. You see, as a child I could do it so well that there was basically no space between my body and the floor, but it was a tad uncomfortable. I want to be able to do it that well, only with no discomfort. Right now I’d be happy to just do it that well. It’s not one of my most wanted goals, but I’d like to be able to do this again and it would help me to become more flexible, which I do desire. This goes along with my desire to get in better shape, learn to dance, and the increased flexibility should also be helpful if I ever do poses for someone’s art, and it could help me to do some different positions in the bedroom or at least do some of them more comfortably and for longer.
Not as sore as I thought I would be! My legs hurt a little but otherwise I was fine. LOL nowhere near the split stage. But it does make me more hopeful, since my body is not as out of shape as I thought haha
is my goal! Since I’ll have 4 hour dance practices every Saturday, I figure my body will get stretched out and limber in the next couple of months. I am determined to get a split down. I haven’t done one in YEARS.
I’m excited about this goal!
