Saw Hamlet — 2 months ago
The theatre in Central Park is really nice. The audience was quiet and informed as well…..great time!

Tropicana Hana doing bad things
Worth doing!
Last night I saw Hamlet, a dramatic and great performance. The cast included lauren ambrose (red head actress from six feet under). It was hot and muggy, and long, the view is beautiful (we were facing the central park castle) and it was lightening all around us!!
I thought I read this in high school, but apparently not (Though that might have been the morning english class I slept through every other day). Yet that one line “To be or not to be – that is the question”. It’s the most familiar, over quoted and misused line in the world – people say this a lot and they don’t even know what a hamlet is.
This has effectively expanded my knowledge of the writer’s work.
Worth doing!
I live in Buffalo, NY, where one of the country’s largest outdoor Shakespeare theaters puts on free performances almost every day during the summer. I’ve gone to every play for a few years now: Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, Twelfth Night, Love’s Labour’s Lost, and, most recently, Othello.
It’s a great time (unless it rains). Just make sure to bring dinner and a sweatshirt—and pee before you leave.
