Take a roadtrip with no predetermined destination

the feeling of being on the open road… with no place to go, all the time to waste.. the ability to have your mind wander. i can only imagine how amazing the experience would be. to see the sights and what the world has to offer. i’m sure it’s a one of a kind genuine trip, and damn if i only had the money, i’d go from coast to coast to coast again.

Once a week, ill walk.. Ill close my eyes and throw a penny on the tube map. Where the penny drops is where ill walk. On my way ill decide my routes through the random pickings of lefts and rights. “first left, third right, stop at 3rd bar for a drink,” etc. Who knows what happens when you do the unordinary,

On the 4th of July this past summer, 2 friends and my boyfriend picked me up at like 8 in the morning and we drove west, up the interstate. My boyfriend had a GPS so we looked up attractions when we got too bored (we visited the Edgar Allen Poe and Holocaust Museums of Richmond, VA) and looked up food when we got hungry. We refused to pay for entry to anywhere, so only enjoyed the free things, which didnt inhibit our fun one bit. We ended up on the other side of the state and hiking through the mountains before turning around.

Please grab some bottles of water and some friends, and maybe some sunglasses and go have a blast!
