Can someone pleasee tell me how to do this? XOXO
How to create a wall collage so big it spans from floor to ceiling
How I did it: My whole room is a wall collage. I've completely run out of space except for about half of the ceiling. There's everything from ticket stubs to full sized posters EVERYWHERE. I'm kind of a packrat, and it's all exploded on my walls. :D Bottles, candy wrappers, autographs, just... everything. I don't throw away much.
Lessons & tips: Collect everything! Everything is a memory. A collage doesn't just have to be magazine clippings, it can be anything that means something to you.
Resources: Life! Doing things and creating memories.

I have completed three of these(several smaller ones as well) and enjoyed every minute of it. When I was going through my most difficult times dealing with bipolar disorder it was the art of collage making that gave me a focus and kept the knife out of my hand. Now that a balance has been found in my life I find I am unable to really put the effort in to collaging that I once did, so my fourth attempt remains just that – an attempt. Secretly I hope I never finish it because that means I am doing just fine. Whether you are doing it out of fun or necessity I do recommend collaging. It teaches you so much about yourself that you may never have realised and they look so cool when finished.
I know this is making it alot harder than it could be, I’m trying to include a color scheme with my collage. blues, blacks, whites. i only have a couple of things because i just started and i don’t have many places to get pictures from but i’m still working on it!
random magazine pictures. 4 and a half feet at tallest point. closer to 5ish wide. that doesn’t seem right. it looks so much bigger. been adding stuff for quite a while now whenever i find a couple pictures i like. i did take a few down last time i worked on it but all and all it’s coming along nicely.
I can highly recommand this page http://homokaasu.org/rasterbator/
There is the this great picture of my grandma walking under the brooklyn bridge now on my kitchen wall
I put tons and tons of pictures of my friends in a huge collage all over my wall. it’s the best thing I’ve ever done. I love seeing my friends, every one of them, every day, happy.
This is a high school thing… mine was photos of friends, flyers of punk bands (Operation Ivy is one I remember in particular, a band whose music I had never even heard but I KNEW it must have been cool…) and pictures of chickens.
Yep.
In college we did a variation on this. We would go an get a piece of paper that was about 8’ x 12’ and would put it up on the wall in the garage. We would set out art supplies including colored pencils, crayons, tempura paints, spray paints, markers, plaster and finger paints. Then we would invite out friends over, turn on the music and have a free-for-all. After it all dried we would take it down and move it inside for display.
