How I did it: I went on a G adventures trip with STA travel. My boyfriend and I went to New York first for a mini extra holiday then flew down to Peru to meet our tour group. We started in Lima, then spent some time in the rainforest at the Ecolodges, then visited Cuzco before completing the Inca Trail over 4 days. Machu Picchu was unbelievable and if you can, you should definitely go on the trail rather than by bus- the view as the sun rises over Macchu Picchu on the last day, as well as the other amazing Inca ruins you see on the way, make the trek definitely worth it. After the trail we went back to Cuzco for a bit, then visited Puno, lake Titicaca and the floating islands before returning to Lima. Read how I did it… 6 months ago
