make a beautiful sweater for my daughter

I have finished the yoke of the sweater and am about to move on to more difficult terrain with it….it was at this point last week when I messed up, had to rip the whole thing (which took me a week to do) and start over…..so, here I am again. This time I will work on it while I am not overly sleepy. I never learn – I always knit when I am really tired, and I always make some huge mistake. sigh

The best thing about knitting is you can always undo your mistakes and start again…..not always fun, but a good lesson to be learned.

I am changing this goal from an afghan (which I still want to make) to a sweater. I am working on a cardigan right now for E. It is made from blue handpainted Australian merino. I love it. This sweater pattern is wildly popular, and seems like a simple starter pattern for a sweater. I have never done one before, and am finding it easier than I had anticipated!
