I loved planning a surprise sixteenth birthday party for my friend since kindergarten. At my birthday party, he told me offhandedly that he hadn’t had a birthday party since he was little. His birthday was two weeks after mine exactly, so I didn’t have much time. I started to plan, calling our friends and his mother. We gathered at a local restaurant and decorated before his mom brought him and a cake to us. We had a blast. He was surprised, and flattered that I had thought to do this for him. Accomplished May 2004.
