Get healthy and build a good immune system

easy peasy. 9 months ago

oh brother this is a no-brainer for me. considering my dad is a health nut and my grandmas a fricking health fanatic, i know it all. I’ve been brainwashed and i’ll tell you, it works. Just think of it like this:

1) bacteria is your immune system’s arch enemy. Well, bad bacteria actually, cause there is some good kinds. But anyways, the bad guys love sugar cause thats what they eat..im not kidding eat a sucker with strep throat and it’ll get 10 times worse. But sugar feeds the ninjas in your body and the good guys need:

2) vitamin C to fight off the bad bacteria. Vitamin C? where do i get that? Strawberries are really really high in it and so are oranges (obviously), lemons, and all the citrus fruit. When you feel a cold coming, eat that and cut back on the sugars and processed foods (fries, white bread, chips, all that good stuff) and eat as much fruit as you can. Veggies like spinach (eww man thats nasty) have almost every vitamin and mineral in them, so when you force them down, just think of how your not gonna get the stomach flu :) i like to make a smoothie and put in a ton of fruits and veggies, maybe some yogurt (even though im convinced dairy is the devil..hehe) and stuff to make it good but no sugar juices cause you body will hate you for it. Yeah, vitamin pills are good to take, but they’re better absorbed in your stomach if you blend them in juice or smoothie.

3) Dairy..is not my friend. Calcium? you ask…try spinach and broccoli..dairy clogs you up in and out..lol. it causes allergies even if your not lactose intolerant. it gives you nasty boogers, smokers coughs dont compare to the wet dairy cough. uckk!! gag me. and have you ever thrown up milk? lets not even go there..but lets! cause if you drink your however many glasses of milk a day you think “good job..strong bones..woohoh!” but from not on think, “hmm..im drinking the same thing as a baby calf does in order to gain weight in order to survive” lol. thats why cows make it! to fatten up the runts!! the only reason we drink cows milk and not any other kind of milk is because its cheap for farmers to make. Cows squirt a ton of it our of their raw utters. eww im throwing up. im not saying be a vegan or a vegetarian or anything unless you want to but just lay off the dairy as much as you can and indulge in the good stuff like chocolate and icecream (my fav) when your healthy. Get it? its easy and your bod will thank you:)

4) Besides eating healthy which we all know we should and taking those horse pills(of putting them in a fruit smoothie if they dont go down) and stopping the cow juice intake, exercise boosts your immune system. It really does..test it out cause its good for everything else too!!

5) being in the cold lowers the immune system..thats why grandmas says if you dont wear a coat you”ll catch a cold..but really you can catch the stomach flu!! runs in circles screaming

6) Consistency is key. sure, once your boyfriend gets the flu you can start these proceeders, but if you do it over time, your immune system will be stacked. you”ll be licking handrails daring those puny strands of bacteria to mess with you. BRING IT!

7) i was kinda exaggerating before..dont lick handrails. Have some common sense..wash those hands too! their filthy!

8) Coffee and chocolate lower the system of immunity. modration and timing are key. Just because you flu is gone doesn’t mean your immune to relapses.

9)if your exposed to flues and you know it, lemon juice shots and apple cider vinegar can help boost yous immune system! (3 shots throughout the day..not all at once).

hope you like this and beleive me..im not lieing!

Oh, the irony... 2 years ago

I have had this goal on my list for 2 years but never “got around to it”.... well, with all my health problems as of late, it looks like this will have to happen, and fast.

Lifelong Health 3 years ago

For as long as I live, it will be to maintain good health and have a good immune system. I already consistently practice this.

Ridding The Body Of Negative Energies 3 years ago

One of the things about being healthy is ridding the body of negative energies. I talk about this throughout many of my goals, the use of EFT. It really is so bizarre, but it works.

It’s like there are these little dams or energy blockages that cause other things to occur in the body. For me, it’s like fat storage, headaches, backaches, loss of focus, depression, irritability, anger, stomach problems, high blood pressure, and who knows what else.

EFT helps to get rid of those negative energies, provided you understand or know what the root cause is and tap on them. If you don’t, finding the root cause may take some time. It helps to have someone who knows you really well, a good therapist, just tapping on the things that pop into your mind, or resources that deal on a particular topic (give you ideas).

It’ll be interesting to see where I will be at the end of the year.

So far, my eating has been really good. I no longer find oats boring to eat. I just eat in a manner that my body likes and is healthy for it, providing it with the nutrients it needs. It’s way cool.

There are many things that comprise building a healthy and good immune system. It’s not just the physical, but includes spiritual, mental, and emotional well-being.

Cold Sores 3 years ago

I’ve had these cold sores and a sore throat now for almost a week. What is the deal? I typically eat very healthy, exercising. Oh, I haven’t been getting enough sleep. Okay, that might be it.

I’d been using Oil of Oregano, full strength, OWWWW!!! on them. But, to no avail.

I’ve found the past few months, I’ve been getting cold sores more often. I’m thinking my kids touch my water bottle cap with their dirty hands? I’m trying to make sure to wash my bottle out every day. Sometimes I forget.

Ah, health! 3 years ago

Finally, I seem to have gotten my immune system in order. Primarily I’ve been weight lifting, eating more lean protien, and eating smaller meals more frequently throughout the day. And, gasp! although people arund me are dropping like flies to the latest sickness, my immune system has stood up to it admirably.

Balance 3 years ago

I’m learning to get enough sleep and forego exercise for sleep. My prior habits were to give up sleep and be a diehard. That’s not the case now. I think people need to get enough sleep to help build a healthy immune system.

Ryan, my stock trading coach/mentor, taught me some things about the body’s circulation. He has this shiatsu doctor he goes to that I’m interested in going to. The thing is, I’m in the Phoenix, AZ area and he is in Seattle, WA. I’ll see if I can find a way.

I have some imbalances in my body and I want to get him to help me get rid of these imbalances. These things can lead to diseases.

Organics -- A Process 3 years ago

I’ve changed how I eat and view foods over the past few years. It’s been a process. We buy mainly organic fruits and vegetables, but I do love things that aren’t in season. Now I make sure to properly wash things and we keep a good supply of fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs at home. It’s great.

It does cost more, but so what? My health is more important. We feel better eating the organics. That includes when we buy things other than those mentioned above.

When I eat now, I try to ask myself, “Will this food give me energy, help me to think better, nourish my body?” If the answer is no, then I avoid it. I give myself permission to eat anything I want, but I just choose to make better choices.

Now I eat most of my carbs earlier in the day, as this is fuel food. My proteins and fats comprise my later meals, though I do eat those at all meals except for my first meal, which consists of a piece of fruit. Proteins are our building blocks and help with repair, rebuilding in our bodies.

I am avoiding foods that spike my insulin levels up, as I’m insulin resistant right now and working to become insulin sensitive again. I’m not diabetic, though.

A part of developing a healthy immune system is to have a balance in your body. For many years I over exercised and did not listen to what my body was telling me. This has brought down my immune system. I now have 2 trainers helping me to balance this out and incorporated yoga into this to help me calm down, learn to relax.

There’s more to write on this. I’ll do so when I have more time.
