Perhaps it’s the smoldering humid climate, the azure sea, the endless white beaches, the elephants, the monkeys, the contrast between the wooden cottages people live in and the golden temples they pray in, the western culture mingled with the culture of the Orient- Thailand is my num. 1 Dream Destination.

I want to go to Thailand – I have studied a form of Thai Massage that was developed in Chaing Mai, northern Thailand. I’d love to go and take a class there. The full technique is 3 hrs long. But while you go thru it, time seems very ephemeral – goes quickly while you are doing it, and when you are done, it feels like you are in your own special world.
Then of course I would love to visit every Wat I can find. (then some shopping in Bangkok, and a visit to Phuket)
Went there for some surgery, can’t wait to go back next year as a companion for someone else going for surgery.

having limited time and funds I still want to make this trip. I hear air fare is very expensive, but the stay is dirt cheap. Still researching this. I had planned on going in 2009, however some family members have fallen ill over the past year, depleting some of the funds I had reserved for my trip. If you’ve been or are planning on going, please share your ideas!
There is an amazing energy about that place… please just drink lotsa water! It’s hard to enjoy the sites when you are dehydrated…
