Turned out this wasn’t for a TV commercial, but a web site and print ads and posters for in trains, markets, magazines, etc. They dressed me funny again. (more shots) 2 months ago
We were on a mountain top at Seichoji Temple. The temple was first started in 771 and over the centuries, gradually more was added to it. It is now an important religious center for the Nichiren sect of Buddhism. Nichiren was born in the area in 1222. He became an ordained monk at 16 and went on to develop his own form of Buddhism which he believed was the one true Buddhism. Nichiren Shoshu is not my favorite sect. I find it arrogant, pushy and discriminatory in its philosophy and teachings, and it’s followers extremely self-righteous. Anyway, it was a beautiful temple and a very bright day. This is not a real monk, and that’s not my real wife. (More shots in comments) 2 months ago
The main was an 18 year old singer/Harajuku girl named Kyari Pamyu Pamyu (no shots allowed of her, so check her out on google). I was a French painter. (See comments) 3 months ago
Met my mgr at 6:30 AM, location bus to the studio in Kawasaki, finished about 7 PM. (Comments for more shots) 4 months ago
They are putting out a new beer. (No shots allowed.) Main was Ken Watanabe, famous Japanese actor who was in “Inception” with Leonard DiCaprio and “Last Samurai” with Tom Cruise. Here I am looking sad and tired. It was a long day, got up at 3:40. Long train ride. The day dragged on. The set is a mock-up airport in a Makuhari exhibition hall 4 months ago

Yesterday we did a print job for the biggest department store chain in Japan. Shot in a studio in Kanagawa. This is before the make-up and wigs and beards, just the red pants and red T-shirst (that we got to keep). 7 months ago
Shot in a studio till midnight last night. I’m an LA lawman who is not too happy when a man comes in to pay a traffic fine with $137 folded into origami pigs. 7 months ago

“Shonen H” with Mizutani Yutaka. Today’s location was near Yokohama. Tomorrow we shoot in Kamakura. It’s a true story similar to Schindler’s List, but set in Japan. 11 months ago
It’s for a Tokyo real estate company. This shot is from their web site, so you can watch it. Here’s the address: www.ki-group.co.jp/
At the top right, you’ll see a small square with two hands holding. It says TVCM. Click that. On my PC, it was scrambled the first time. Click start and let it run through. When it’s over, click start again, and it should run clear. 13 months ago
I had to get up at 4 AM to be in Yokohama by 6:30 to shoot a computer commercial. Most of the shots were outside in the freezing cold. After shooting, I went to the Kamen Rider exhibition in the building right behind us. 15 months ago
Two days ago I did a modeling job for Birkenstock foot wear. I was part of a family. We left Shibuya in the location van at 6 am and drove to Kiyosato, a mountain resort village in Nagano ken. I’m sure it’s very nice in the summer, but it’s freezing now. Some shots were in a cabin, but many were outside. We had to wear Spring/Summer clothes and no socks and pretend we were warm and happy, real acting. Got back to Shibuya at 9:30 pm. 17 months ago
The guy who interviewed me about my role in Godzilla for G-Fan magazine was in Town. I took him out for dinner in Shimokitazawa. He, being a big fan of old Japanese films, really wanted to eat in this place. It’s a theme restaurant devoted to the films of the 30s, 40s and 50s. Walls are lined with old movie posters and the dishes are named after old films, characters and stars of the era. He was really excited. They even gave him an old movie poster as a gift. 18 months ago
I just shot a Coke product commercial yesterday. Another phony beard. Here, off camera, the marshal and I arrest a Muslim terrorist. 20 months ago
UNBELIEVABLE is a weekly show featuring a true mystery about someone who thinks they got away with a crime (and other stories). We have similar shows in the states. I was the main man whose wife of 3 months kills him for insurance money while we are deer hunting in Colorado. We shot in a remote field in the prefecture next to Tokyo. The hard part was being face down dead in the field with bugs of all kinds crawling on me. There was even a snake, but they chased it off. (This wasn’t the first time I was dead in a field with bugs crawling on me). Then they did an autopsy on me and checked out the bullet holes on my naked body (well, half naked). They put a fake beard on me. 21 months ago
This is the box the camera comes in. Shot in a studio, I was bouncing on a trampoline for about an hour, making different poses. 2 years ago
