How to find a message in a bottle

How I did it: I was on the beach with my close friend that I've known since I was little, and we saw a bottle lying in the sand. It had a worn off label and looked as if it had been weathered by the sea for a long time. Inside was a message from someone in Africa that managed to get to the east coast of the US. Lessons & tips: Be observant when walking along the beach. Also if they provide an address you should write them a letter back, as well as send them a letter in a bottle. Resources: a friend, a beach, a bottle. |

How I did it: I was walking along the Erie Canal and noticed a wine bottle washed upon shore that looked like something was in it. I climbed down a rocky bank, and through a ton of mud, but it was worth it because the bottle contained exactly what I wanted: A MESSAGE!!!!!! Read how I did it…
I found a message many years ago off a beach at our old family beach house on Oahu, Hawaii. It read, “If it is found you will be blessed with money”. I’ll never forget those words and it’s been about 2 decades! I sure wish they left a date or return address.
I doubt it would be from very far away but still cool none the less. I remember at school putting letters into helium filled ballons and letting them go. I wonder what happend to them.

Sending out an SOS
Found a message in a bottle. It had washed up on shore of the lake.
It was from a couple who released it on their wedding day. It had gone pretty far…from Lake Huron to Georgian Bay in Ontario.
We opened it, and read it, but we put it back where we found it because it was before we had internet and they only left an e-mail address, and we were just kids.
Hope someone else found it and replied to them.
i have yet to find one. when i was little my grandparents filled a small botle with sand and shells and put a birthday card in it for me. they sent it through the mail so i could get it. it was a good birthday idea, but i dont think it really counts. ;-)

I found a message in a bottle whilst on a beach in france, the message was in french and at the time I didn’t speak french but I got someone to translate. The message was pretty interesting. It was a woman’s wishes and dreams and it said that she didn’t want her children to be in anymore danger and she hoped that one day she could learn to love again. Have no idea what the story was there but it was pretty exciting, I dont think its something that happens to many people so I am happy to have had this experience and I hope to write my own message in a bottle one day, who knows maybe one of u guys will pick it up! :D
I’m going to Southend (Essex, England) soon. It has the longest pier in the world, so I think that it would be a good opportunity to send a message in a bottle.
