I started in Japan as an exchange student, living with a family in Yamanashi-ken. After college (and a couple of trips to Europe) I returned to Japan, making Tokyo my home base, as I explored the rest of SE Asia. I’ve been to Hong Kong 3 times, the Phillies 5 times, Thailand 10 times, Cambodia 5 times, Maylasia 3 times (including Sarawak on Borneo), Singapore 10 times (I hope to live there), Nepal 1 time, Korea 1 time, Taiwan 1 time, Indonesia 10 times. I still have a few more countries on my list, Burma, Laos, Viet Nam, India.
