Be first chair in honors band

I have always been at the top. Schoolwork, height, and band made up part of this list. But when I got into high school, I suddenly realised that I was no longer at the top; there were three grades of people better than I was. My intuition coming forward, I knew that I needed to be first chair in honors band. I needed to feel the rush of having the ability to say “I so pwn” without actually saying it. I needed to beet my long-time rival, Sarah P. I needed to feel, once again, on the top.

last year 57 clarinets auditioned and i was 7th, and a bunch of them graduated so this year i have a better chance! plus, i played the audition piece for a different audition a couple years ago, so i already know it!
