How I did it: I discovered the wonders of the 3 for €10 table in Byrnes (I usually hate that evil, evil shop, but there are some real gems to be found.) and 2nd hand books (Places like Chapters in Dublin are amazing and random charity shops can be great as well), went to the library a lot and I read a few ebooks on my ipod with the hand of some nifty pdf-jpg software. All my newly acquired books are taking up a lot of room though - I think I'll be… Read how I did it…

How I did it: This year, I focused more on reading whole series of books, which made achieving this goal really fly! I read the first seven mysteries in Cleo Coyle's "Coffee House" Mystery series, and I also started reading the Harry Potter series from beginning to end. This year, I made a point to read each month's book chosen my my book club. I also read a lot of books about China, thanks to suggestions from my friend living i… Read how I did it…

How I did it: Went to the library a lot. Read lots of Newbery Award books. Sometimes there would be long gaps where I'd be distracted and wouldn't read anything, and then there would be bursts of reading to make up for it. Read how I did it…

How I did it: My best friend helped the most. She gave me books every week. I didn't go to the library but it would have been nice too. Out of all the book I read probably only 30 were ones I had never read before. My favorite was the book my mom got me for my birthday. It's called The Thirteenth Tale. Check it out. Second mystery in Monica Ferris’ Needlecraft Mystery series. I liked this one better than the first. Ferris does a good job developing her characters and they are quite likable. I’m happy to find another good series….it’s a long one!

Keeping You a Secret by Julie Anne Peters
Wow, another slow reading month. It felt like more than this, as there were a bunch of unfinished reference type books in there as well, they’ll fall in November as I was using them after October.
35. The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Schaffer (Book Club)
36. The Light Fantastic by Terry Pratchett (fun fiction)
37. Blink by Malcolm Gladwell (attention catcher)
13 books left in the next 2 months!! Luckily I already have 3 down for November.
slickgl wants to move to Maine.
I got the box set of “A Series of Unfortunate Events” for $30 from Borders. One down, twelve to go. I like the writing style in these books.
