start a commune

I biggest dream is to live in a commune! Oh, I know it would be hard work but it’s would be so worth it. I’m just picky too, lol. It would have to be secular. Letting everyone believe in what they want and be 100% member owned. I hope my dream comes true someday.

It is a dream I am living that one day the next generation will be in harmony universally.It is an honor to lead a life in accordance to the values Mother Nature entrusted us. I am longing to get the Women Suffrage transformed into Human Suffrage.The Battle of the 21st century to liberate women who are the torch bearer of humanity.During the Women Suffrage ,black women were not even mentioned. I feel very deeply hurt to the core by other women who allow this to happen to our sisters & it is irregardless wether I am black or not. The pain is so excruciating & fuel me to do the people on the bottom of the oppression are black women. When we start to recognize the inhumanity that the slavery to this day affects black women & move our action to bring them up ,as it is so impossible that from hundreds of years of oppression, black women has lost their soul ,denigrated to the status of a fly. If we can collectively gathered every ennergy resources from us not from out there,& focus the energy to uplift their lives equal to ours ,then a domino effect will regenerate a massive change from the bottom up up to the middle class.

Women Issues are the root cause of HUMAN ISSUES IN THE BROADER SENSE.
Time to elevate the oppression of the Women Suffrage to the level of Human suffrage.
Women rights is not an equality issues. Women must understand that the fact that Mother Nature entrusted us with the uterus ,we are the Guardians od the humanity. It is up to us wether we chose to continue the human species or stop it from reproducing. It is a very simple fact that we have the uterus to say or to say no. Women must not be subjected to equality . There is no equal rights . We have all the ultimate right. Men come from us , we carry them in our tummy for 9 months . The fact that we decide to give birth to them is let alone a validation that they owe us their existence.

Human Suffrage aka Women Suffrage is an understatement for the 21st century.
Community of human who has the vision to change the institutionalization of Women.

Might I suggest to everyone that they check out commune.myfreeforum.org? We’re in the process of detailing out what we want our commune to be like. We have a bit of land in Iowa, near Gladbrook, and we’re looking to start moving in in a couple of years. We are (for the most part) atheist and anarchist, though we are a far more open and accepting group than many others.

Check us out, we’re always looking for more members (there are about 5-10 steadily active members at this point with a few more sporadic contributors). There’s a lot of stuff on the forum, so just pick a spot to start and dig in!

I would LOVE to start a commune here in the up north area of Minnesota. I am searching STILL!!!! for like minded people who would love to share in a communal living group. I have always had this dream of working together and really building something good and whole away from the “me-ism” and the “running with the Jones’” lifestyle so many of us have seemed to adopt.

I have also come to realize that much of what we have been taught is the “American Dream” can cause a significant group majority or people to feel inadequate to achieve this goal, one being of the simple pride of home ownership and a sense of family and community purpose. I believe in these economic times that if the “little people” were to band together in a group it would be easier to attain such a goal. After all what bank establishment can turn down 4 people with incomes and 8 people with credit no matter what that score may be. WE ARE NOT A NUMBER. It’s time to band together and make the “dream” our own. Any one out there willing to take this chance?

A commune for the sake of a commune might not work out too well. Also, I doubt “commune” describes what I want.

as the current featured entry points out, money is very important. which is why i have yet to do anything. but recently, some friends and I have thrown around the idea of opening an apartment complex. the currently apartment complex’s in this town are trash or tax credit (which makes them a pain to get in to).
i would like to open a decent complex that will have communal features. possibly offer free rent for working there: manning the desk, cleaning the grounds, tending to the green house.
there are a few colleges with an hours drive from here, as well as major cities for the region. i hope i can makei t work. im tired of fast food…

I’ve thought about living on a commune since high school, although back then I wanted it to be an island where we could grow copious amounts of pot. Actually, I’d still like that, but I’ve done a lot of research since then and realize how much work the commune life really is. Regardless, it still looks like paradise to me. To have a sense of community, of common purpose with people who are truly living their values, that seems so important in times like these. I plan to visit an ecovillage this summer, Dancing Rabbit, to get a real feel for the life and an idea of how to get started. I’d love to hear advice from anyone with a little experience!
