Ran another 5K last weekend. Had a great time. I can see this getting addictive. Planning another in 2 weeks.

i ran my first 5k in june. i have another one in october. after that i plan on doing a third 5k next june and then move to a 10k a few months later!
I competed in my first 5K about 6 months ago. a friend talked me into entering and i had no training at all. I completed it in 36 minutes. I hurt all over, and couldn’t walk the following week. I still had fun and want to try another one.
I ran a 5K about a year and a half ago and would like to do another one this summer. I am very out of shape when it comes to running again, so I really need to get back to the basics. I will start of slow and work my way up.
ran about a mile and half, and then walked about 3 1/2 miles… so not bad considering i haven’t done much for a while.
that really misses running. i hate it and i love it all at the exact same time… im looking forward to getting back in shape to do this – i haven’t ran (like, REALLY ran) since September…
it’s definitely about time.

I did it on Saturday evening, in about 35 minutes. Not great, but I finished with plenty of energy to spare. One friend and one brother ran too, and three other friends came to cheer us on and eat pasta. Brother won a free pair of shoes in the raffle afterward, and also got third in his age category (coming in 10 minutes behind the next runner…)
I should definitely keep signing up for 5k races, because they are very motivational.

I ran 5k in a little over 35 minutes. My motivation for actually finishing was that if I could run the whole 5k, I would feel absolved of not having run at all in the last two weeks. It was quite the motivation!
