Song Writer/Learning guitar and piano! 2 weeks ago

I’ve always been the writng type. I start writing songs when I was about like 10 years old. It took out all my emotions and made me feel better. My first song I ever wrote was “From Drowning To Swimming”. I now been practicing on my hot friends acoustic guitar, he’s a player too, so I having him give me lessons. I did own a acoustic guitar till one of my drunk idiot friends came and fell on it. I was devastated and pissed. I have also been practicing the piano, its not the easiest instrument but I have patients. But this is one of my goals. I hope to be in California one day singing my music on the sidewalk then being in a studio recording my songs for the grammy’s! some big dream, huh?

I love music, and it’s my dream to become a musician. I’m really good at singing, and I’d like to learn guitar and drums. That’s one of my biggest dreams to accomplish.

How am I gonna do this 10 months ago

Since I was a child, I dreamed to be a musician.
Now I’m learning to play the bass, and I’m planning to learn to play the piano and the guitar too – or even more instruments, it’s never too much!
I work a lot and I love what I do. This hard work made me a better bass player than many people who have been learning with my teacher for years (I only play for about 7 months).
I’ve met some bands looking for a bass player, and I’ve been praised a lot.
Wish me luck!

a musician

Regardless of future/career/age/whatever I know that music is one of the things that makes me most happy in this world. At the moment I’m uncomfortable about where my guitar skills are ~ I want to play a combination of styles for which neither my instruments, techniques, or mindset are ideal. I fear performance ~ my voice is unreliable, the pressure makes me melt. I can’t properly read music. I’d like to actually play the piano, as opposed to messing around with one. I want to be able to connect.

become a musician : part two 15 months ago

During the summer holidays, I decided to do something like a one-day-test of a job I’d like to have later on. The first “One day as …” was connected to the job of a musician/singer. I must say I never had so much fun in my life; I felt motivated and like I could do anything I want … I sang, I played the guitar like a maniac, I wrote some lyrics, as well as one song (I’ll maybe have to change its title, though … But it sounds cool! XD).

Ever since, I tried to play as often as I could, and same goes for singing, of course. I have no bigger wish than making this goal reality, because I simply feel it is the right thing to do. I don’t care what other people say about this, though (or, I will not care if they are being completely destructive).

I also wrote two more songs, one of them being a song I am really proud of.

I have been worried that I didn’t do what my heart told me, but if I didn’t do THIS, I would definitely not listen to my heart.
I have been worried that I wasn’t talented enough, but instead of worrying about this, the only thing I can do is practice as much as I can.
And as for the character traits you need to become a musician … Screw them! At first, have fun with what you are doing, and, as said above, listen to your heart. And don’t sit around wishing to do something, but DO something. Even if you aren’t a band (I currently am in no band, either), there are ways of getting started with writing your own stuff.

I think that writing songs is the best thing to do when you go “solo” : You can prepare stuff that you could play in a band, and if not, you can still record your own solo album. Just don’t be scared to show yourself :). (Maybe that’s one thing I should tell myself COUNTLESS times, too …)

I cannot wait to grab the guitar again and start playing. :D

I’ve never had lessons, I go on youtube and learn music from the charts. I can’t read music either. My guitar skills aren’t very good, but I’m going to start lessons next year. My keyboard/piano skills are coming along well though, and for saying I’ve only had a keyboard for two months I can play songs from Kate Nash and Sara Bareilles :)

I’m working on a song written and composed by myself at the moment. It’s not coming along to well, but I am a beginner so I have plenty of time yet :)

I would love to become a musician! The only downers on that are I can play guitar and keyboard averagely. And I can’t practise as much because of SO much coursework next year ‘cause I’ve got such a load.

Oh well :/ I will try my best!
