I love Calistoga, a small town at the northern end of Napa Valley, the wine country of California. Besides the wineries, the area has a lot of underground thermal water, so hot springs baths and mud baths are offered at many of the inns. The B&Bs are all so beautiful, old Victorian style, but in great condition. Some are up for sale. I check often on the net and imagine owning one, but my thoughts are mixed between an old Victorian style or creating a Japanese style inn, which, so far, doesn’t exist there. It would be Japanese achitecture, with tatami rooms and futons, a Japanese garden with koi pond, and an outside hotspring bath (I wonder if I could do it real Japanese style with everone bathing together nude). Of course, there would be a Japanese restaurant and bar, and the breakfast would be very traditional. 4 years ago
