Purchased a Larger Kiln 11 months ago

I finally got around to purchasing a larger kiln! With this kiln I am now able to make huge items that would not fit in my smaller kiln.

My new kiln also has a program where I can put in my information, turn it on, and come back later and the item is finished.

Owning a kiln... 15 months ago

I’ve wanted my own kiln since the 8th grade. Hubby
found one at an auction for $200.00 and I am floating
    on a cloud!

Not much time to use it right now, but when I have time,
    the kiln is waiting.

“EVENHEAT” brand. Model 5320LT. 240 VOLTS.
30 AMPS. 7200 WATTS. SINGLE PHASE.
Kiln panel suggests not firing to over Cone 8 (2300° F)
More information found! This model was manufactured
on April 18, 1980, making the kiln a 27 year oldie
    but goodie.

My used kiln came with a durable stand.
On the stand, it is 35 1/2” tall.
Purchased in Inola, Oklahoma April 7, 2007 for $200.00.
Previous owner said she ‘got it’ five years ago, but unsure
how old it was at that time.

She stated she used the kiln to make glass beads.

Love it! Have melted wine bottles into wind chimes and
such, have no intention of using it for ceramics. Ha!

    Tsill might be morphing

If I had craploads of money, I'd have done this 18 months ago

But since I don’t, I’ll just stick it under another goal until that rainy day when money falls out of the sky and helps me to buy the kiln of my dreams.

The wonderful things I could make if I had a kiln. All the beautiful, wacky things that I want, I could make – stuff that doesn’t exist or I can’t find anywhere. Sparkly things.

I bought my kiln last month 2 years ago

So far I’ve made 4 glass dishes and annealed lots of beads. I love my kiln – the possibilities are endless. Everyday I have new ideas or see something else someone has done and think “I’m going to try that this weekend!” It’s wonderful. Just do it!

On the back burner 3 years ago

The ceramic shop that I was gonna buy my kiln is going out of business and I don’t have the money to get my kiln now…and with a move coming up this one is gonna be on the back burner for a while.

This one is sidelined too 3 years ago

I haven’t really been doing alot of ceramic crafts lately, so this is something I’d like to have but I’m not in a rush to get. I’ve still got at least 2 more moves before we settle down for good and it’ll just be a pain in the ass to try and move a kiln.

I have so many ceramic molds 3 years ago

that I would actually save myself time if I did own a kiln.
