own a scooter

OK, I need to get my specs right before I look at colours and super-stylishness (repeat this ten times over to self).

Anyone got a recommendation on retro-ish models that have good/antilock?/power brakes?

I could not be more thrilled.

i picked it out, i’m soooo excited – i want the pink one. my husband says we’re going to go by and BUY IT on saturday, oh my god i’m SO EXCITED.

I have my eye on a few of them, and since I passed the driving class, I can get my license next week!

I got my registration info in the mail today about my scooter class next month – I have only about two weeks! I’m pretty psyched. It really takes me back to the days of driver’s ed, how amusing.

I hope we all get our scooters someday. I want one with a burning passion that has caused a colossal conflagration within my soul.

In California it behooves you to take the motorcycle driving class before you start driving a scooter all over the streets of san francisco, so my husband signed me up for the second week of August – I’m SO excited. Not only do I get out of the written test at the DMV, but I’ll actually know how to ride one, hopefully.

the prices of scooters in my area have seriously doubled in the last 2 years due to the high demand.
plus you have to take a special driving course to drive a scooter.
i no longer want to do this goal.
if the prices come back down, i’ll reconsider it.

I got a rental today to use while mine is being finished. So close i can feel it!

I owned a scooter for about 18 months and it was great fun. Never had to que in traffic which I miss as I now use a car. The petrol is cheap too, could fill the tank for 5 quid. I fell off it twice and have a big scar down my leg. owch.
