The facts were these: I grew up in a place with about a dozen other people. Now, these were just the people who were my age. The problem was, they never really thought of me that way. They thought of me as an annoying little sister. They were nicer to their annoying little sisters. Anyway, time went by, and I gave up on them liking me. Then, something happened. We disagreed about it and they, um, shunned me. Or whatever teenagers do when they don’t like someone. Y’know, it’s just how things go. But they were mean to someone else that didn’t deserve it. They got him fired from his job, and because he was fired, he had to take his family and move. I am not his family, but I was on his side. After that, I just hated those people. They were supposed to be kind and caring people who loved God and all that. They got someone fired because they thought he gave too much homework.
Now, this is all unfortunate, but I have no right to hate these people. I am as sinful as they are, and so I can’t judge them. And hating them is just not productive. Also, it makes me more sinful. I have to let it go. I pray for the ability to let it go.
