be an astronaut

I’ve wanted to do this since forever. I want to go up at mission specialist with NASA. So so much.

So I’m starting off my engineering career as a rocket engine test engineer at an Air Force base in the middle of nowhere. NASA is there so maybe I can work my way up.

I really wanted to be an astronaut since I saw a space shuttle launch in florida.

I just have to get over my fear of flying and my claustrophopia
I would love to look at Earth from outer space

wow has it been this long already.
i just recently came back from a foreign exchange program from japan. and gah im sad and goign crazy.
the main reason i went to japan was because of space. ever heard of the anime tenchi muyo? and how tenchi turned out to be an alien prince. well i remember watching that show when i was about 10 years old. and i spent the next 5 years hoping/wishing/believeing that i too was a alien princess stranded on this planet. so i went to japan to be abducted by aliens my true family!! to go home into space. well a year passed by and nothing happened. but my host mom did have a dream of that actually happening to me. oh i so wish it came true. like what “i’m a disaster” said. i truly understand what she means. i really wanna get off this planet. her words are perfect on almost how i feel. i just feel that i am a princess put on this planet. well watever happens will happen right! and my goals for this life IS to get off this planet. see the stars before my very eyes! see the nebulas and feel that greater power! to step foot on a whole new planet, in a whole new solar system, in a whole different galaxy. to see the stars around me, freeze, as i go into hyperspace. to be alive!!!
this is truly who i am.

Be an astronaut and make at least one flight into space.

Steps so far:
Looked into application, requirements, etc.
Was able to visit Houston and NBL through work.

No interest in living in Houston or in NASA politics. Probably not the right avenue for me, but still on “the list” cause you never know. I may just get a chance to go.

... but it’s true, and sometimes honestly I get frustrated by all of the blank or incredulous looks that people don’t bother to hide when I tell them. I have this silly idea still in my head from when I was little, that if I could just get up there everything would be perfect.

how cool is outer space? ive always been into looking at the stars.
it would be so cool to visit a distant planet. even if its inhabitable. like neptune, it just looks so blue like an infinite body of water. and seeing a different galaxy, finding a planet just like ours in some remote corner of the universe. send me solo in a box fit for one and i’ll investigate.

I really want to be a mission specialist astronaut someday not kidding about it. I have set up my long terms plans:

1- study in Russia
2- create a space community in my country
3- become a space Engineer

my current short term plans:

1- learn communications skills (ham radio)and morse code
2- learn Russian language
3- have more space activities in my area
4- inspire others about space exploration
5- attend space congress and involved in space activities as much as possible
6- keep aware of current space news, space exploration history

my future short term plans:

1- learn sky diving
2- learn to fly a plane
3- learn scuba diving

I went to a silly space day camp thing at OMSI when i was a little one, and i won the honor of being one of the two to go up into space in the Gemini capsule. They sealed us in there (they actually screwed the door onto the replica capsule) and i started freaking out. Turns out i’m claustrophobic. Oops!
