JudithKD I LOVE the year in review thing...how cool! Thx robots!
and mostly just fight their software. I bought 4 early Astounding magazines. If they were as they appeared, I’d have no problem getting my $ back, sell them at a show, no problem. When they arrived, they have tape all over the place. When I went back to look at the photo, yes, these are the magazines in the image, but the image has been shot or doctored to make the tape not obvious. Not mentioned in the description. So, I was going to leave neutral feedback. I should have looked more, they should have been more forthcoming. However, as per my usual with ebay, I couldn’t get it to work. I wrote a neutral feedback, hit the feedback button and a query came up, did I really want to leave a neutral/negative feedback? There were three choices. The one I picked was something along the lines of “I’ve left neutral feedback that’s factual and not nasty.” So I clicked the “send this feedback anyway” button….
and it doesn’t work.
I HATE ebay’s Q/A department!

It’s a necessary evil when I want to buy photography equip and luckily I’ve had no problems with that so far (touch wood). but when I buy other stuff that I don’t really need I get angry with myself. I also was taken advantage of a couple of times-money sent but nothing received or the item wasn’t as described, and ebay really offers no real recourse.

I love to buy online! If I’m not on EBAY, I am on Overstock.com!
Either way, I buy more online than I do at stores! All my Christmas gift were bought online! For me it beats, the traffic, the crowd and the waste of time trying to find something from store to store! And the best of all, so far so good, no returns!

liquidizer is listening to Depeche Mode, after reading a post about them on 43T
I went through a phase of surfing around there when I was bored, but I’m over that. I don’t want to give up ebay altogether. I can buy stuff there I can’t get anywhere else and save a few quid into the bargain. Giving up ebay would be like giving up Amazon or Google: pointless and unnecessary.

I love ebay.. I can buy things i wouldn’t buy anyplace else.. Got my mom’S christmas present on ebay.. As long as I don’t buy useless things and things I don’t need it’s okay..
NO USELESS BUYING should be my new goal..

I found myself bidding on some things I didn’t REAaaaaaallly want just so other people wouldn’t win them. And I totally went over my spending limit for almost 5 or 6 months and then I noticed I wasn’t paying my bills first before Ebaying. I just figured the money would show up and I’d pay my bills but then I over drafted my checking account and didn’t have the money to put back in there so the bank closed one of my accounts and wrote it off as bad debt. So I quit for 7 months and now I’m back with my finances clear except for that write off that is now on my credit record for 7 years. And I am now an EBAY SELLER so instead of spending my money I am making about $200-$300 a month as extra income. I am actually glad I learned my lesson.

I’ve decided that I’m not going to be able to stop eBaying completely as long as certain friends of mine insist on emailing me to tell me they’ve got some new artwork up for sale. I have stopped my obsession with Picture This though, so as long as I work within a budget each month I can live with this.
