It’s been a year since I moved out of my parents’ and into an apartment of my own. I am co-habitating and he does take care of a large share of our expenses.
We bought a puppy in April even though we both knew that we signed a lease that stated NO PET ALLOWED. We kept her hidden and tried to keep her quiet for along time. Our apartment has 10 units and it’s rare when you run into anyone. For some reason June and July everyone was walking down the halls when we were coming home with our puppy Bella. So, they saw her. I’m not sure who got pushed over the edge and called the property management.
I don’t think anyone on the 2nd floor likes us anyway because if you just happen to walk past them and give a polite “hi” they just look at you. I don’t understand why people have to be so rude.
We were wrong for keeping the puppy but she didn’t bother anyone.
The puppy now lives with my parents. I’ve put it out there to a few people that I was trying to find a second job to help save up money to move into a pet-friendly place. I met with an old manager I had when I worked @ CVS and he said he might have an opening for me. fingers crossed

So, after this summer I’ll be starting my second year of university. I’d really like to start this semester off right with less of a student loan like I had to take out beuas eof bad planning last year.
If I can’t have enough hours promised over those 4 months at my current part-time job I’ll start job hunting, sending out resumes and references towards the beginning of April. Fortunately I’ve got alot of experiance working in manny different venues so fingers crossed that it’ll go well!
Hopefully that’ll help me reach my goal of 5 grand over the summer and the unrealistic dream of 10,000 dollars saved up by the end of the year!

My job right now is as a part-time (hopefully full time soon) day care worker. So this is my weekday job. However, since it is part-time right now, I NEED a 2nd job. A weekend job. I’m going to be applying at a dollar store at the end my street today, before work. That would be most awesome and perfect if they’ll give me hours on the weekend. I’d really love to do an 8-hr shift on Saturdays and maybe a 4-hr shift Sunday mornings. Every other Sunday afternoon is a rescue care day. so I want them off. If the dollar store won’t hire me, where do I apply next???

Get a 2nd job for the first time in my adult life to get me out of credit card debt.
Not too bad, but enough where it stresses me.

Much better plan is to just get a better single job.

Fudge, the first one didn’t work out… they wouldn’t schedule me with enough time to make my first job on time… back to looking for another job.

I was hired on the spot as a server at Village Inn… about 6-7 applications till I got a job, not bad! I knew if I could land an interview, I’d be set and I was right!
I start next Tuesday! More money, here I come!!

So I spent all day yesterday handing out applications for waitressing positions. I will be doing more of this today. With only looking for lunch shifts, I think it will be more difficult for me to find jobs, but oh well, when I do find one, it’ll be awesome, right?
I’m a little worried about the entire working 2 jobs thing. I’ve never done this before. But if I can do this, then I can do anything, right? I’m also super nervous about waitressing. The entire balancing thing scares me. I’m a fast learner though, I’ll be fine… I hope. :$

I thought originally that $3k would be enough for the move, but realizing that I’m going to need to move Craig with me and that I’m also going to need to save for the two vacations I have….
Now I’m thinking that $3k for the vacations and $3k for the move are not going to be enough… $3k for both trips is still going to be alright, but I want AT LEAST $5k for the move. Idealistically it’d be nice to have $6k-$7k for the move… money left over for starting school as soon as I’m settled.
I want to feel really prepared when I get out there. I’d love to be able to do things like pay off my car insurance for the next 6 months so that it’d be one less bill to deal with. We’ll see, a lot of things sound nice, but who knows if I’ll be able to do them. both fingers crossed
