I love my Diet Coke like no other. But I am afraid it isn’t good for me so! I vow to switch to coffee in the AM and maybe decaf tea in the afternoon. Wish me luck!

true to form, just got back from business travel halfway across the world, and brought my 2 cans of DC with me. Worst part is I feel so stupid. People who don’t “get” DC look at me like I’m an idiot. But here I am a year later… maybe a bit more ready to make this change than before. I am always bloated, and it definitely affect my food choices. (sigh) wish me luck – again.
woke up this morning at 4:30 with one of the worst headaches I can recall. Took about a half hour to remember that I had only a CAFFEINE free DC with dinner last night. Serves me right. After swallowing three Advil and shuffling down to the fridge, I guzzled a can of DC. I guess I will have to disabuse myself of the idea of “cold turkey”.
Been a DC addict for about 7 years now. Hardcore. Travel frequently for work (around the world) and have carried cases in my luggage, since you can’t get “real” DC in other places. (Only Coke Light junk). Recently climbed 8 peaks in a local MT. range, and brought about 8 pounds worth of DC in my pack. I justify it by quoting the recent medical tests I have gotten that show no erosion to stomach or ther GI areas. See?? harmless!! But upcoming travel will be a B*TCH if I have to carry 15 lbs of DC around. I also know that it makes me eat crap (what’s better than a cold Diet Coke and some Reese’s PB cups?). Help – I THINK I’m ready ;-)
