see Charlie & the Chocolate Factory

So I was only able to see the first hour of the movie, because right when Willy Wonka puts the keys into the door the movie turns off and the house lights in the theatre come on. At first I thought it was part of the movie (like Rocky Horror) and Oompa Loompas would come out and start singing. But that was not the case, it was just a power outage.
But what I saw of the movie was great. Tim Burton did not dissapoint.

It was… alright, to say the best. Loved the imagery, loved the oompa loompa songs, but … umm. Jonny Depp was TOO weird as Willy Wonka. Doesn’t come close to Gene Wilder, of course.

And what happened to the whole Slugworth/Everlasting Gobstoppers sidestory? Psh.

Comes out on Friday, I can’t WAIT to see it. The old one with Gene Wilder is awesome, of course.. but a new version (since it’s not a remake per se) should be excellent! Especially it having Johnny Depp in it.. AND TIM BURTON OMG I LOVE HIM.
