i met him once because i was at the Louisvillle baseball opening ceremony for the UL baseball team. tino martinez is cousins with Prado, who used to coach there at the time. so tino came, and brought derek jeter.

my dad is good friends with tom jurich, the athletic director. anyways they come over (nobody was allowed to come up to him to talk – security, etc.) and he was like “Hi, Ross. My name’s Derek Jeter. Nice to meet you.” it was sweet. we talked for a few minutes.
