Every three months, I donate to my favorite shows on KNON. They’re a local station that plays a variety of music, especially underground artists and local acts.

By donating to KNON, I can help keep local music on the air and discover some new bands, too. :)

Been doin this for 10 years. It’s grassroots and it works.

Most people tend to associate Austin with the Texas music scene, but there are a lot of talented bands in North Texas, too. I think it’s only right, as someone who wants to be in a band, for me to support other musicians in my area.

I love the bands in my area, they each have their own great style and energy! Some great bands have come out of the South Carolina Area, and i want to be the one to say, i bought their first cd, i went to there shows, i helped spread the word, i helped them get where they are today!

i don’t really have much of a choice, really. if i go to a concert ‘round these parts, there’s a 110% chance it’s a local or regional band. it’s all good music, too, so i don’t mind one bit.
