Just like any other meal as anything that is not green and leafy is not good for food. The only difference is that my human tends to give me a lot more food on Thanksgiving. This year he tossed in an entire Romaine lettuce heart for me to share with my female friend.

the only kind of Thanksgiving that any of my sons remember… Vegetarian Thanksgiving.
The in-laws came over. My husband and I were not confident enough to do a totally veg thanksgiving, but there was no turkey or ham, only a side of salmon. Doesn’t quite count as a vegetarian holiday, but closer than I’ve ever had before.
We had a great side of mac n’ cheese with goat cheese. Yum!
The last two years were vegetarian thanksgivings for myself, but I helped cooked turkey both times. Not that I resent that, but I am looking forward to blowing my own mind with delectable treats this november. I am most concerned about gravy and stuffing- two of my favorites- which are difficult to get just right without the aid of meat juice. We’ll see.
last year was my first vegan thanksgiving. i made a bunch of sides (recipes off the net) to go with the tofurky dinner. everything was delicious except the tofurky and pumpkin-tofu pie (recipe from tofu company) which were just ok. i put everything into containers and took it to my relatives’ homes. a few whom are not vegetarian tried what i made and enjoyed it too.
There’s an issue of Vegetarian Digest from the early 1990’s that had an entirely vegetarian Thanksgiving dinner in it—it was delicious, as long as none of your guests were expecting to eat turkey.
