give something from every paycheck to a good cause

but upon further contemplation, I don’t think I’ll actually be able to do that, fit within my budget, and keep paying down debts. Maybe when my salary goes up I can change this back to 5%, but for now I’ll keep it at “something,” so that no matter how much I give, I know that I’m at least helping a cause that needs it.

but I think it’s great to keep it in mind right now. I used to just give whenever I was asked to (and when I could), but I really never budgeted at all or well, and was never able to give much. If I make this a goal to do every paycheck, I can’t say no to it, and I will feel better about how I am putting my money where my mouth is in terms of supporting my priniciples.

I can also vary it up and give to a different org each check, so I will be supporting tons of causes I love through the year. I can’t wait to start making money, so I can give it away. :P
