Two years ago we found and orphaned baby raccoon and raised him to adulthood, then released him into the wild. If we weren’t living with our animal-hating step-mother we would have kept him. He was really sweet, he housetrained himself, and he loved people. One day he even followed me upstairs to take a shower, which was really sweet. He knew he had to say in our den, but he wanted to follow me so much, he risked walking through the kitchn, down the hall and upstairs. He spent the entire shower on my shoulder.
Now that I own my own home and have more control of my life, I plan to get a baby raccoon, once I know I have everything secure enough to care for one properly.
