No perm . . .

but highlights (which I’ve never had), had six or so inches of length cut, and even went with a side part (I’ve always worn a center part). I look cute. The highlights are caramel, and make my face look brighter. Plus, I feel like ten pounds of hair is gone from my head, which is a nice feeling. :)
So, finally!

Prices for a cut and style start at $38, for a perm start at $55, and for highlights at $75 . . . and they do levels, so someone who has been doing it for longer will cost more. That’s fine – I am willing to pay more for someone who is not a newbie.
Now I need to commit and make the appointment.

Seriously, I need to do this. My hair looks like crap, my bangs are so long that they come down to the end of my nose, and I just can’t do anything with this mess besides pull it up in a pony tail. And now, I’m also needing to pin my bangs back just to keep them out of my face.
sighs
But seriously, I hate getting my hair cut almost as much as I hate getting shots . . . and especially since I have not yet found an acceptable stylist here.

Pick a salon. Any salon. Call them. Ask “how much?” Ask if they have a stylist who didn’t graduate beauty school 12 seconds ago. Schedule an appointment.

I think. Not the blonde part, but the loose curls. I guess that would be a body wave or something . . . I will have to pick a salon and go in and ask. Maybe I’ll do it while Hubby is gone, and see if he notices when he comes back.
I’m also considering highlights, but we’ll see.

I suppose I have completed this goal now, even though I’m not “done” with my hair(cut) yet.
My hair is the lightest it has been in years, it’s almost my natural colour. After a long period of red, green and dark brown I would say that it is a difference.
My hair is also shorter now. I will chop even more off, not much but still a little, but I need to get that appointment at the salon first. Not sure when exactly that’ll happen as I don’t have money atm, but it shouldn’t take too long.
Anyways, since my hair is quite different now, I’ll consider this goal completed.
I’ll be sure to let you know what the “final cut” looks like. ;)

Last year at this time I had really pretty brunette hair that went a few inches past my shoulders (see profile pic). Unfortunately, I started thinking I needed a change. I had dated this kid who loved my hair, and when this guy decided to be dumb and start acting like a jerk, I wanted to chop my hair off and dye it blonde! So in January I went in and got it cut jaw length. Then, I had it dyed platinum blonde…
It was horrid.
Needless to say, I regret it.
So the moral of the story?
Don’t get more than just one drastic thing done to your hair at a time.

There’s no need to bleach my hair before I get a haircut cos then I (or mum, actually) would just have to bleach the tips of my hair for nothing.
So I should get an appointment asap.
My mum has really started to protest against my hair dyeing operation. :( She’s trying to change my mind about this by telling me horror stories of how my hair will fall out and my scalp will get infected etc. Yeah sure.
