become an au pair

If I’m not mistaking, to do this you have to pay a little more then I’m capable of. If I am going to do this, it will have to be before August 2009. If not, that doesn’t mean I have to give up, just that I have to alter this goal a little. Maybe I’ll become a live in babysitter in Vermont for a couple months instead. Kill two birds with one stone =)

I love kids and I’ve always wanted to travel out of the country. This is like two for one. I’d want to go somewhere beautiful, with lots of woods and beaches.

I was an au pair in Italy for three months in 1997! I was 21 years old, and I had the best time of my life!

I am planning to move and become an au pair.

Emotionally challenging, but an amazing experience. Cheesy as it sounds, it was an experience that changed the way I look at and deal with life. There’s nothing I’ve ever experienced like living abroad and away from everyone and everything you’ve ever known. Besides, I loved the family I lived with. Still in touch with them, actually.

yesterday I left my family after 3 months of extraordinary time with them. i loved the kids absolutely. (will write more later)

so far it’s been great, family is absolutely fantastic, children make me recollect things i forgot from my childhood, english landscapes (esp. meadows at sunset) are breathtaking… i’m learning lots of things about myself all the time, it’s a great experience indeed.

I’m going to England this summer! yey! I’ll be looking after 3 gorgeous children (my mum says they look like from a fairy tale…) Hope for a great adventure :D
